Two Pikas were strollin' through the meadow,
One Pika said to the other
I'm looking for the forest,
And could you help me?
My trainer just used my brother in a battle
I'm sure he won, though it was his first battle.
They said meet me there in the forest
On the stump of a tree
And I didn't have anyone
To walk me there today
So I wondered if you would
Help me find my way?
The other Pika said
We're goin' the same direction
And if it's alright I've got a story of rejection:
My trainer abandoned me in his hometown.
He said I was weak and I was so stubborn
That I wasn't a fighter, I'd do better without him
Then he dropped me off on the sidewalk
And left with a frown.
I cried for a day,
Then stocked up at that local mart
And the forest's as good a place as any
For my new start.
Oh the forest's a little more yellow tonight,
Two more Pikas springin' to life,
One of them happy,
The other one bluer than blue.
Come on along, you can meet all my friends!
No I think I'd rather be lonely again
I know some day some good
Will come out of this pain
So they drift along
And walk toward the forest again.
