G Alone by my window I'm dream-D-ing,
Of the days when I called you my G own;
When each day brought it's blessing from Heav-D-en,
And the nights were the sweetest I've G known.
But it seems that the C fates are a-G-gainst me,
For A7 even in love I have D failed;
In my G hand is a symbol of D sorrow,
It's the letter I never did G mail.
